Plot Outline:
Now that Luke and Lorelai are back together, Lorelai can come into the diner, and she adds herself to Luke's speed dial. They make a date for Sunday to celebrate getting back together. Meanwhile, Kirk has stationed himself at the diner and is collecting the pink and blue ribbons which citizens of Stars Hollow used to wear. Rory and Logan are still dating, however not exclusively. Rory and Lorelai see him with another girl while they are shopping in downtown New Haven. Lorelai wants to go over and yell at Logan, but Rory informs her that it's OK - even though she doesn't look as if she really thinks it is OK. She tells Lorelai that they are just dating and allowed to see other people. Emily and Richard assume that since Emily gave instructions to Luke to get back together with Lorelai everything must be all set now. However, they are surprised to see only Rory show up for Friday dinner. They wonder whether Luke and Lorelai have gotten back together and end up assuming that Luke did not follow Emily's instructions. Logan saw Rory when he was with the other girl. He asks Rory if she is still OK with their arrangement. She says she is and agrees to go out for coffee with him. Later, Logan's friend (Robert) asks Rory to go to Finn's birthday party with him. She agrees, and at the party Logan (even though he is also with a date) admits that he is jealous, kisses Rory, and asks her to leave the party with him. The offer is obviously very tempting (she kisses back), but she refuses and decides to stick it out with Robert. On their date, Luke and Lorelai act about as awkwardly as on their first date on the way to the car. They remind themselves how much they missed each other and go on their date. Upon their return they find Kirk asleep in Luke's boat. (Now back in Lorelai's garage) Kirk, following Luke's advice, moved out of his mother's house, however he didn't have anywhere to stay. They take him in for the night. Emily storms over to the diner and starts yelling at Luke. She can't understand why he didn't follow her instructions. Mid-yelling-spree, Luke secretly speed dials Lorelai so she can hear what Emily is saying. Lorelai rushes over to the diner, alerts Emily that she and Luke are a couple again, but that Emily needs to butt out and shut up.
